Gilles and Evelyne Szepes are basket-makers in Châtel Montagne in Allier in France.

They are specialized in fine rattan basketry and rattan furniture restoration. They create contemporary basketery using ancient techniques. Their studio looks like a museum where Napoleon III winter gardens stand side to side with reproductios of old basketworks and various pieces of cane furniture and creative basketry.

After their meeting with Mami Taira, a fashion designer from Japan, they export their production in the Land of the Rising Sun.

They came at the Showroom FITE 2012.
