Boros are futon cover [futongawa], clothes [noragi] or utilitarian textiles [furoshiki], mended and patched with some recycled old material pieces. Inextricably link to their stuff – cotton – and its history, They show on the one hand the great austerity of the rural world and on the other hand they denounced the japenese social classes.

Even if boros were first made by poor people from recycled cotton, they earned their spot thanks to a rich aesthetics and get split up from their own origin.
