Duppata association promote the indian handcraft art in France for many years. Its differents activities are reserved to finance learning programs for poor women in India. To do so, the association organize everywhere in France exhibitions, conferences, shows and school facilitations.
The association offers from November the 17 to the 28 at the Showroom Gallery 7 – 7 place Gailleton, Lyon 2 – a textile Kalamkari exhibition/sale.

Testified from the 18th century, these textiles come from the region of Srikalahsti, located in the south of l’Andra Pradesh. Mentioning indian women from the 18th century, they are totally handmaded with the help of natural pigments and have as inspiration sources the mythological scenes. Krishna, Vishnou and Gopis representations escort the famous life trees.
